Andria “Andi” Day Declares Candidacy for Washington State Senate Representing the 19th Legislative District

SEAVIEW, WA – May 10, 2024 – Andria “Andi” Day, a seasoned leader with a diverse background in tourism, small business entrepreneurship, and community service, today announced her candidacy for the Washington State Senate, seeking to represent the 19th Legislative District as a Democratic candidate. 

“I am running to represent all of the people of the 19th Legislative District and focus on real results and more resources for our communities,” said Andi Day. “I believe in the power of working together to find better solutions to the pressing issues facing our district, from economic development to healthcare, education and environmental stewardship.” 

Andi’s candidacy is driven by her unwavering commitment to her constituents and her vision for a brighter future for Washington State. Her campaign will focus on key issues such as family wage job creation, innovation in our natural resource-based economies, education, healthcare, economic development, infrastructure, public safety, transportation, housing and environmental protection. 

Day, 56, brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the communities she aims to serve. A proud fifth-generation Washingtonian and third-generation resident of the 19th LD, Andi’s roots run deep in the region, spanning from Tokeland to Naselle. Currently residing in Seaview with her 13-year-old son, she understands firsthand the challenges and opportunities facing natural resource-based economies and rural communities. 

“For our rural communities to thrive, we need to have a seat at the table where decisions are made. I will be that voice in the Democratic majority to make sure that we do not continue to be left behind because we are not in the room.” she continued.

With a Bachelor’s degree from Washington State University and a rich background in nonprofit management, economic development, and strategic planning, Andi has dedicated over two decades to promoting the interests of Washington State. As the former executive director of the Pacific County Tourism Bureau and a successful small business entrepreneur, she has demonstrated her ability to drive economic growth and foster collaboration across sectors both in the district as well as in Olympia. 

Andi’s leadership extends beyond her professional endeavors, as evidenced by her involvement in various youth coaching programs, community organizations, and statewide initiatives. She is known for her pragmatic approach, collaborative spirit, and steadfast dedication to improving the lives of those around her.
